The Maingate Home & Gift portfolio has been put together in just five years, yet from a retailer's point of view contains some absolute gems that make Maingate a very attractive supplier partner.
Maingate's mantra that "First Comes Product" is as evident in Home & Gift as it is in our Outdoor lines: No product is adopted into the Maingate range unless it is "the best of its kind", i.e. designed and built so as to provide end user customers with many years of true enjoyment of ownership.
Maingate believes that no product is really sold until it's in the hands of a contented end user and delivering a useful service.

Gardening was at the core of Maingate's activities for many years and is still very close to our hearts, as is the Garden Centre sector.
The foundations of Maingate were laid in the mid-1980's, just as the Garden Centre concept began to mature, creating a need for well-designed and well-made products that dedicated gardeners would truly appreciate and enjoy using in the pursuit of their absorbing hobby. Our wheelbarrow expertise is steeped in that premise, and the County designs were conceived in the belief that the products we all reach for most days, whether at home or at work, must be well thought-out, supremely functional, with no built-in obsolescence, i.e. durable and - as a direct consequence - indeed pleasurable to use.
High aims, you might say, but that is where we aim, and we believe County measures up every inch of the way. Not a lot of wheelbarrow brands do!
